Sabelt 6 Point Sedan Harness

Sabelt is a leading manufacturer of safety equipment for racing. Sabelt harnesses are widely used in many demanding European racing applications including F1. Sabelt harnesses have been used by many of the top teams including Ferrari, BMW Williams, Jaguar, Toyota, and Minardi.

All sabelt harnesses are 3" wide. These belts are FIA approved. The SCCA allows 5 years from the date of manufacture for FIA approved belts and 2 years for SFI approved belts.

6 Point Formula Harness

All of the Sabelt harnesses carried by Randall Race Parts are Hans friendly. When using the Hans Device, Sabelt recommends 6 point harnesses. The whole range of 6 point harnesses are Hans compatible.

Notes on Harness Mounting

Ideally, shoulder straps should not bend more than 10° from the horizontal plane at the top of the shoulders. Maximum allowed by FIA rules is 45°. Harness mounting plates should be parallel to the belt’s plane, never perpendicular. Mounting the plate perpendicular to the belt puts the stress of impact on the weaker plate rather than the strength of the bolt.
