KOOLMAT

The KoolMat is a patented design of high temperature composite insulation consisting of densified silicone, cured directly into the surface of a fiberglass mat. The materials are mechnically and permanently jointed together during the manufacturing process without adhesives. With its lightweight and thickness, the KoolMat silicone will easily attach to a textile fabric allowing no separation or passage of air or liquids through it. KoolMat is able to withstand 1100 degrees Fahrenheit. Some of the KoolMat advantages other than its resiliency to heat include: sound deadening, flame proof, elimination of racecar driver heat exhaustion and it increases the life of the cockpit. It is available in master rolls, slit rolls, sheets or die-cut. It is highly durable because it will not burn, dry out, heat crack, hold moisture or wear out under normal use.
